BACKGROUND

Head Fitness Coach Leeds Boys F.C

Completed Flora London Marathon 2004 with a client

Great North Run 2004, 2005, 2006

My interest in sport and health began at an early age as a keen athlete, during which time I started to gain the basic knowledge of fitness for life. Over the years my passion about health and fitness increased and it became inevitable that it was going to play a significant role in my life, it was to become my career. I decided that I wanted to help people understand what fitness is all about and experience the positive effects it can have mentally and physically.

I graduated from university with BSc (hons) in Sport and Exercise and have several years experience as a fitness consultant and personal training co-ordinator. I decided to establish and develop my own personal training company, creating tailored, personalised fitness programmes, covering a range of abilities and locations. It was soon realised that I gained a lot of job-satisfaction and personal reward from helping people improve the quality of their lives, but this was just the first step in my own self-development.

The second step was to take my qualifications and experience abroad, I went on a 12-month, opportunity of a lifetime, trip around the world, experiencing different cultures and training ideologies. I returned with an open mind and several new ideas and no longer just want to help people with their exercise regimes, but help improve their life forever, and encourage you all to live the life you imagined.

Ian Bush (Bsc, Dip):- Personal Trainer

Bsc (Hons) Sports Science

Register of exercise professionals: level 3

BACKGROUND

I have been personal training for over 5 years now and have had great success with my clients over this time. I love my job, being able to work closely with individuals to help them achieve their goals is what really motivates me. I left University with a 2:1 degree in Sport Science in 2001. After studying modules such as motivation in sport psychology,  weight management and exercise rehabilitation I gained a vast knowledge of what it takes to achieve your goals through exercise. I truly believe that exercise not only improves your chances of a longer life by reducing the risk of many health related illnesses but also improves your quality of life immensely by reducing stress, improving sleep and increasing self esteem. I love keeping fit myself and always aspire to continuously improve. I believe that training is all about being practical, functional and most of all enjoyable but not without a little hard work!
